I love seeing when someone understands the process of writing or discovers something new in the course of writing their essay, paper, or short story. I've taken multiple creative writing classes and many English classes with extensive essay writing. I enjoy writing and reading, and the knowledge gained when doing both. I view tutoring as an opportunity not just to teach something to a student but as an opportunity to watch a student come into knowledge on their own and see them gain that knowledge through discussion and working through problems, instead of just telling them how to fix an issue.
